bon pas mal de taf à faire :
Hello JEDICHRIST!
I am sending you this email concerning your costume "Bodhi
Rook".
Thanks for waiting, I went down a rabbit hole pulling research on
this.
You have a good base for the costume.
1. Weather the flight suit

Bodhi’s flight suit looks grimy, to the point where the fabric nearly
looks gray.
Weathering with washes of acrylic paint diluted with water is my
personal favorite method of weathering. It can then be heat set
with an iron on the lowest setting, or a blow dryer. Based on the
images, a few tints of gray and white should work. Alternatively,
other options are weathering with light washes of spray paint.
To add worn spots, I would suggest using a light grit of sandpaper.
2. Update the color of the vest to match the references
The vest is registered as an olive color in your photos, rather than
a medium brown.

Option one: Fabric dye. Based on the fabric components of the
vest, this will require a specifically marketed dye for Synthetics.
For example, Rit DyeMore has the color listed as “chocolate brown”.

Option two: Fabric paint.
3. Update the embroidered patch to a PVC based patch to match
the references.

The Rogue One Imperial Cog patches differ from the patches from
the OT films in that they are made of PVC. This is cited by the
signage that accompanied the costumes when displayed in various
locations.

Based on my research, thus far there is only one company of a
ready made patch and it is based here in the States. I have one on
my IGC Jyn costume, it is a very well made item.

4. Trim the wig down
The ponytail starts at the base of the wearer’s neck and ends
around the middle of the shoulder blades.

Suggestion on how to style:
Section out a piece in the middle, slightly above the temples, pull
back and bind with black hair elastic on the crown of head. I have
marked this on the below reference guide as “upper hair elastic”.
Pull remaining hair into a ponytail that sits at the base of the neck.
This is “lower hair elastic” marked on the guide.
This will be easiest to do so if it is a lace front wig, as there is a
hairline built into it. I would strongly suggest looking for a lace
front wig to style as accurately as possible.
5. Update the boots to include the detail to match the references

The boots and detailing resemble those worn by the Rebel Scarif
Marines, which are brown boots with a spat detail that wraps
around the shaft. I have combined the SWC images with a guide I
made on the Scarif Marine Boots, which labels the pieces that
make up both the “Lower Spat” and “Upper Spat”. The “Lower
Spat” consists of the large base, while the upper is the decorative
piece with the greeblies on it.

However, as the hem of the Bodhi’s pants covers any additional
detailing that makes up the “Upper Spat”, it is safe to assume that
it is not there. There are a few tutorials in the RAID section on how
to make the spats, here is one.
